Label Printing with standard SAP board tools

1999 we changed from a selfmade PPS system to SAP R/3.
That time we had about 7 Intermec label printers and 6 different label designs. The printers were connected serial.
Printing labels on the Intermec printers from SAP was the goal of the project!

Project Details

We looked for a software to design labels for Intermec printers within SAP and did not found a good solution.
There was no really good and cheap solution that time. So I decided to create our self printer description which was done very fast.
Based on our previous created designs, I converted the designs so I could store and print them within SAP
using our selfmade printdriver and the default SAP/Unix print system.
2006 this concept is still running (of course - 40 printers and about 60 different labels)
